Hard resetting and factory resetting your OPPO R1C device helps to format the device system. It’s always advisable to hard reset your OPPO R1C device whenever you notice much lag or freezes on your device, or maybe, your device got bricked or has encountered so many unexceptional errors, then it would be okay for you to take a fresh start with the device.
Before you try the factory reset or hard reset on your device, make sure that you have backup your important files. Restoring the default settings or factory reset your device will delete all your existing files and will go back to its initial state.
Factory Reset:
1.Switch on your device.
2.Go to Menu > Settings > General tab
3.Select Backup & Reset > Restore Factory Settings > Reset phone.
4.Now your device will reset to factory settings, and reboots.
Hard Reset:
1.First, Turn off your phone.
2.Press and hold together Volume Down + Power button, or Volume Up + Power button.
3.Once Recovery menu appears on the screen, release the buttons.
4.Select "wipe data/factory reset" by using Volume buttons, and Power button to confirm.
5.Then choose "Yes -- delete all user data".
6.Confirm operation "reboot system now".
