To set up and turn on the mobile Wi-Fi hotspot on your iPhone5, follow the 8 steps below:
- Call your carrier to select a tethering plan
- From the home screen, select Settings.
- Then after selecting it, tap General.
- Next tap Network.
- Next tap, Personal Hotspot and Wi-Fi Password.
- Enter in a password. This makes sure other devices can not connect to your network.
- Slide the Personal Hotspot switch to on to make your iPhone5 now discoverable. Your iphone5 will now be a hotspot.
- Connect to the hotspot using your PC, Mac, or iPad.
