1.GETTING TO THE SET UP PROGRAM Pressing the DELETE key get you into the set up program for AMI and award BIOS.Phoenix BIOS uses the F1 key or F2 or Crtl+Alt+Esc or Crtl+Atl+S.Look at the screen for short message explaining what keystroke you should use to entire the set up program 2.STANDARD SET UP Here is where you will set a date,time,floppy,hard drive,video type and the memory size,Be sure you have the hard drive specification to enter the set up program 3.EXTENDED SET UP In the advance set up let you set the boot sequence or perform a full or partial memory test,or enable/disable shadow RAM or enable/disable cache memory or enable feature like block mode and LBA mode or to set wait state on the CPU or memory.If you don't know how to set up these feature there should be a key stroke so you can press that reload the factor default setting so you can try to modify different setting to get better performance on your personal computer 4.INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS Some of the logic board (motherboard) have the drive interface and I/O part built into the motherboard so for this option let you to enable or disable any of these feature. 5.IDE HDD On this feature allow you to read the drive perimeter from the IDE hard drive diagnostic cylinder into the set up program so use this feature to input the drive specification and to assure that is connected and functioning properly 6.SLEEP FEATURE In this option allow you to enable feature that shut down a certain PC component after a set up period of inactivity,So you can select which device get powered down and when is in this screen use a sleep feature is NOT recommended for PCs on the network sine a sleeping PC may be viewed as shut down by the network file serve. .EXITING THE SET UP PROGRAM You can either save the value you have just changed or you can exiting the program without saving the changes both option should be aparent to you on the main set up progam scree
